Help Ohio Public Education
We need Leaders with a Plan, Not an Agenda
BOE races are non-partisan and so is HOPE. Our recommendation below is for District 7 for the Nov 4, 2008 election.
District 7 comprises Ashtabula, Portage, Summit and Trumbull Counties.
Heather Heslop Licata is a homemaker and mother of two children. She holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Hamilton College in Clinton, New York. Licata currently serves on the Akron Children’s Hospital Board of Trustees, the Akron Children’s Hospital Women’s Board, the Metro Regional Transit Authority Board of Trustees, and the Citizens Advisory Committee of Summit County Children’s Services. She has been a member or leader of the Litchfield Middle School PTA, King School PTA, the Akron Council of PTAs, and the Akron Symphony Orchestra Board of Trustees.
Licata, a member of the State Board’s Achievement Committee, was appointed to the Board’s 7th District seat by Governor Ted Strickland in February 2007, and is now standing for election to a full term.
Remember, most Ohio taxpayers can get a tax CREDIT of $50 ($100 for married filing jointly) when you donate to state Board of Ed candidates.
